We recently had the opportunity to supply 
Ipe hardwood railing for a beautiful residential patio and deck railing project in the Caribbean. The clients were a joy to work with and the craftsmanship involved in this railing system is extraordinary. As soon as we saw the workmanship, the Ipe railing and the scenery, we just knew we had to share it with you. The material itself is a railing profile made from 2x6 Ipe hardwood material and then shaped into the profile shown here. The sculpted look of this Ipe railing profile can add beauty and elegance to any decking design.
Our own millwork specialists were very impressed with the level of craftsmanship used to create such a beautiful railing design. Glass panels are “floating” in an elaborate Ipe hardwood frame. One of our master craftsmen described this design as “Ipe wood struts fastened to the railing frame with a bird’s 
beak joint, creating the support for the clear glass panels.” The whole railing design is completed by the Ipe cap rail.
