Residential Wood Rainscreen Projects Reach New Levels

Many beautiful residential wood siding projects became installed this past year.  One Climate-Shield rainscreen installation in Tennessee was particularly exceptional. The builder chose 1x6 Ipe siding for both the inside and the outside of the home. They additionally installed Ipe siding for exterior soffits and interior ceilings.  The results are astounding.

The builder selected the Climate-Shield CS2 rainscreen clips throughout the exterior siding and soffits.  The CS 2 clips provide a full ¾” rainscreen gap.  This gap allows superior ventilation and performance for outdoor areas.

For the interior siding and ceilings, the design/build team selected the Climate-Shield CS10 specialty clip. The CS10 specialty clip has a 10 mm (3/8”) gap. This narrower gap is especially effective for a lower projection off the wall.  The CS10 specialty clip became the perfect solution for the interior of this project and works quite well here.
