In 2020, the architects at CollinsWoerman expertly combined Ipe wood decking with the Eurotec Rooftop Deck System for Kirkland Urban in the Greater Seattle area. We featured the first rooftop deck project here.
Kirkland Urban is part of a downtown revitalization in the Greater Seattle, Washington area. The mixed-use complex is anchored by tech company offices, upscale residences, and large public spaces. The Kirkland Urban website says it is designed to be a "a vibrant extension of Downtown Kirkland, bringing together a collection of neighborhood services, shops, restaurants, and a large public plaza...walking distance to the waterfront".
An urban revitalization of this caliber requires a welcoming, luxurious decking material that can easily handle high commercial foot traffic, strong UV exposure, and the Washington State climate for long-lasting beauty.
